Based on Chinese、uighur content intwo languages "eat" word metaphor as the research object, guided by the theory andmethod of conceptual metaphors, from semantics and eating metaphors of "eat"research scope, by contrast, in the concrete analysis of Chinese and uighurvocabulary related to "eat", the Chinese homonyms, contain the words "eat"metaphor in the superficial contrast research, clarify the Chinese homonyms, theprevalence of eating metaphors in the two languages and difference reasons, thispaper discusses the "eat" metaphor of the cognitive universality and culturalrelativity.
