The Effects Of Creative Self-efficacy And Perspective Taking On Team Creativity

In today’s management theoretical research and practice ofenterprise management, an increasing rate of attention has beenpaid to team creativity. Whether team creativity improves dodirectly affects the organization performance. In the study ofcreativity, as a specialization and incarnation of self-efficacy,creative self-efficacy determines the creator to create theefficiency and level of activity to a large extent. But it’suncertain and complex when serving as a kind of hidden variables,so it is necessary to reveal the interactive relationship betweenteam creativity and it. Under the condition of perspective takingin varying degrees, different levels of creative self-efficacy mayresult in various performance of team creativity. In this study,itintegrates the viewing angle of creation subject and creationprocess into a new angle of view. Also it selects the creative mainfactor of creative self-efficacy and the creative process factorof perspective taking to try to explore their joint impact on teamcreativity.Through the analysis and discussion of existing research, thisstudy used two experiment designs：The experiment one discussed teamcreativity level of teams consisted of high/low/mixed individualcreative self-efficacy members under the condition of high/lowself-efficacy of team creativity. Based on experiment one, theexperiment two further investigates the performance differences ofteam creativity of high/low team creative self-efficacy under thedifferent degree of perspective taking condition.Through two parts of experiment, the conclusions of the studyare as follows:(1)There is a main effect of team creative self-efficacy in thetotal level of team creativity; (2)There are main effects of the team creative self-efficacyand individual creative self-efficacy in the total level of teamcreativity and four dimensions of team creativity;(3)There is a main effect of perspective taking in the totallevel of team creativity;(4)The interaction between creative self-efficacy andperspective taking is significant in original dimension of teamcreativity.
