With the long historical roots in China, auspicious pattern bears the richChinese traditional culture. As an important part of the traditional culture, it becameone of the symbols of Chinese ethos and interest, which expressed the people’sstrong expectation to the happy life. The traditional mentality of pursuing goodfortune and avoiding disaster, constructed and multiplied the colorful auspiciousdermatoglyphic pattern and sculpt, with profound moral and philosophy. Chineseauspicious patterns were widely used in our social life areas as an element in moderndesign, including architectural ornament, advertising, dress and personal adornment,trademark, modeling of goods and so no.Nowadays, with the globalization and diversification of culture, the diversecultural thoughts impacted and blended together. The personalized design workswith national character got more and more attention. As the saying goes, whatbelongs to the nation belongs to the world, nationality has become the indispensableelement in the modern designing. Deriving from China, Exhibition Art is known asthe carrier of our national culture and regional culture; Yet, the national styles andregional features, which is peculiar to China, were fading for infiltrating of theforeign design thoughts. As the particular and characterized element in our nation,Chinese auspicious pattern should be inherited, applied and innovated by us in themodern exhibition design. Applying the traditional auspicious pattern to sculpt, thevisual effect of jadeite (a kind of jade) will be stood out, and it’s perfect to blend ofthe jadeite exhibition design and Chinese traditional auspicious pattern in theperspective of moral.Collecting abundant Chinese traditional auspicious pattern, the author refinedthe design elements of Chinese traditional auspicious pattern by combining themodern design concept and people’s aesthetic features, and applied the elements tothe jadeite exhibition design, which inherited and innovated the Chinese traditionalcultural elements.
