Graphic Language Auspicious Meaning

The traditional Chinese auspicious pattern is a decorative pattern with auspicious meaning.Its "picture must be intentional,meaning must be auspicious" characteristic contains the chanting and pursuit of a happy life.Traditional auspicious patterns have a relatively important position in ancient visual culture and are an indispensable source of inspiration in modern design.They have been used in important events such as the Olympic Games and the 70 th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.Therefore,how to ingeniously integrate traditional Chinese auspicious patterns into contemporary design,comply with the trend of the times,base on new practices,and continuously carry out innovative design and application has become an important subject.With the development of the times,the expression forms of art have been increasing,and the design works featuring solitary living have gradually entered the public vision.As part of traditional culture,auspicious patterns should meet people's spiritual and cultural needs,and combine the classic shapes and profound cultural connotations of auspicious patterns to show their contemporary spiritual style and artistic charm.This project is based on the five themes of auspicious patterns,including Fu,Lu,Shou,Xi,Cai,and a series of illustration design for the research object.Through the research methods of literature research,case analysis,and image analysis,the development context,categories,cultural connotations,and research value of traditional Chinese auspicious patterns were sorted out as the theoretical support for the subject.By analyzing the design case of auspicious patterns,explore the design characteristics of contemporary expressions of traditional auspicious patterns.In the design of the work,according to the typical modeling characteristics of auspicious patterns,using exaggerated and abstract illustration drawing methods,the cumbersome auspicious patterns are refined,redesigned,and different emotions expressed in color are explored for expression strategies.Through the above-mentioned theoretical research and performance strategies,design auspicious patterns and images that are in line with modern aesthetics,and combine illustration design works with modern media to expand the field of communication and application.On the one hand,increase awareness of auspicious patterns;on the other hand,explore the relationship between traditional pattern shapes and modern pattern shapes through design,and promote the spread of contemporary values of traditional culture.
