The Correlation Research Between Environmental Attitude And Behavior Of The Public And The Degree Of Haze Pollution

This research strive to explore the internal relation and correlation between thethree based on interrelationship study between environmental attitude and behavior ofthe public and the degree of haze pollution, while define psychological roots of theformation of haze weather and put forward the psychology path of haze prevention.This research utilized questionnaire survey to the public of Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai,Nanjing, Yangzhou, Nanchang six cities which belongs to the seventy-four cities thatimplemented the new air quality standards firstly in our country, and impressed on theprinciple of random sampling to sample and distribute paper questionnaires. ThePublic Environmental Attitude and Behavior Scale used in this study is theamendment of existing scale combined with research survey and necessary. Theresults proved that the revised The Public Environmental Attitude and Behavior Scalehas good reliability and validity and this scale can meet the needs of this research.Finally, the research draw the following conclusions:(1) Due to the demographic of gender, age, occupation, education, income, placeof residence and the living time in the residence, the environmental attitude andbehavior of the public exist significant differences;(2) The positivity of environmental attitude and behavior of the public is overalllow, but the two has remarkable consistency. Therefore, it can be inferred thatenvironmental attitude has certain prediction effect on environmental behavior;(3) The public understand less knowledge relates to haze and other environment,the scores of items which related to haze are low. And further analysis revealed thatthe environmental attitude and behavior of the public has direct impact on the degreeof haze pollution, especially in “ecological management”,“consumer behavior” and“persuading” this three dimensions has reached a extraordinary level in statisticalsignificance;(4) The environmental attitude of the public, the environmental behavior and thedegree of haze pollution exist a certain path relationship, specific performance for theenvironmental attitude of the public has significant impact on the environmentalbehavior, and the environmental behavior of the public has direct impact on thedegree of haze pollution which has reached a extraordinary level in statisticalsignificance, meanwhile the environmental attitude of the public has indirect impacton the degree of haze pollution.
