Since the 1960 s,the problem of environmental pollution has increasingly threatened the reproduction and progress of human beings and other species on the earth, which has aroused the concern of the country and the public about this problem. How to effectively alleviate this problem in order to protect the environment has become the focus of researchers. It has become a hot topic in recent research in this field to discuss pro-environmental behavior and its mechanism from the individual level, and to effectively enhance people's awareness of environmental protection. This study focuses on the impact of connectedness to nature on pro-environmental behavior, and further explores the mediating role of environmental problem perception in it,as well as the moderating role of awareness of consequence and ascription of responsibility based on the perspective of normative activation theory. In this study,569 college students' pro-environmental behaviors and related influencing factors were investigated by questionnaire. The results of modeling research data are as follows:1.(1)The basic score of college students' pro-environment behavior scale: the total average score of pro-environment behavior is 2.68,which is lower than the medium critical value of 3;The scores of college students' pro-environment behaviors were significantly different in gender(p<0.05),and the scores of boys were significantly higher than that of girls.(2)The basic situation of score on college students' connectedness to nature scale: the total average score of natural connection is 3.46,which is higher than the medium critical value of 3;Among them, the total average score of the private domain's pro-environmental behavior dimension is 3.01,3 points higher than the medium critical value, and the total average score of the public domain's pro-environmental behavior dimension is 2.36,3 points lower than themedium critical value. There was a significant difference in the score of natural connection between male and female(p<0.001),and the score of female was significantly higher than that of male.2.The connectedness to nature of college students can significantly positively predict their pro-environmental behavior.(1)College students' connectedness to nature can indirectly affect college students' pro-environmental behavior through some mediating effects of environmental problem perception;(2)The awareness of consequence of college students regulates the influence of environmental problem perception on pro-environmental behaviors. When the individual awareness of consequence is stronger, the higher the perception of environmental problems, the more pro-environmental behaviors will be.(3)Ascription of responsibility of college students regulates the influence of perception of environmental problems on pro-environmental behaviors. When individual ascription of responsibility is stronger, the higher perception of environmental problems, the more pro-environmental behaviors.
