With the quick development of the science and technologies, sudden anddisastrous weather has a great impact on social economy and people’s living. Dopplerweather radar, a new kind of detection tool in meteorological observation activities,has been widely used in many countries at present. Doppler Radar and WeatherObservations makes a comprehensive and systematic discussion on many aspects fromthe basic theory analysis of weather and radar, engineering design principles toproducts.In this translation report, firstly, the author introduce the writing background ofthis book; then the author analyse the style of this translation work, and clear the targetreaders and the expected goal of this work through the writing purpose mentioned inthe preface, then to ensure the “precision” and “objectivity” of this work is thetranslation purpose.
