As a outstanding dramatist in the history of Chinese clasical opera, Li Yu ismore concerned by his drama theory, his accomplishment of theory and his life forthe people, obscuring the light of his legendary plays. The thesis intends to rely onthe Li Yu’s librettos, to carry on the research of the librettos from the stageperforming art perspective, combined with the related theory of drama theory andKun Opera stage for the performing arts, explore the librettos of Li Yu with animportant significance of classical traditional opera art.Based on The Li Yu’s Ten kinds of tune, this thesis using the methods of carefulreading text and statistics, about the ostentation, role division, wear, modes(Gongdiao), division of libretto has carried on the statistical analysis, Comprehensivelyconcluded that the drama concept of Li Yu followed in his scriptwriting. For thereflect of plot structure, roles arrangement, actions tips and the design of libretto inthe legendary, find out the law of script for the stage performance. Combined with therelated opera theory of Li Yu to analyzes his legendary script designed for specificperformance, then analyzes his art pursuit on the stage performing, it follows thatChinese classical opera pay attention to freehand brushwork and has the characteristicof "charm". Though reading the legend works of Li Yu, combined with Li Yu’s stageart pursuit as well as the background, from the angle of history and reality backwardthe reason of Li Yu attention stage performing arts, at the same time, using themethod of comparison, compares Li Yu and contemporary writers, to find out theinheritance and sublation on development of drama creation and stage performing. Bycontrast, make objective and fair evaluation of Li Yu "special for stage performance "artistic pursuit in the history status and influence.This thesis from studying the script, combines Li Yu’s opera theory, according tothe law of art stage, exploring the essential meaning of drama art,to solve the problem what is the opera art. Accordingly, this thesis thinks that fundamental test operaartistic vitality lies in whether the reading on the desk and suitable for the stage, not"human waste". As a famous drama theoretician of Chinese ancient, who researchedby many scholar, the innovation of this paper lies in breaking the research model haslong interpretation of Li Yu’s drama theory, based on the "play" standard, boldcombination from the script and stage performance art angle, using the theory ofknowledge of other art disciplines, try to grasp Li Yu’s script writing ideas and dramatheory, to explore the internal reason for the continuation of the traditional opera art,at the same time, I hope it would be helpful to the development of folk art.
