With the development of globalization, international trade contract, as a kind of contract,is used more and more frequently. It is characterized by its unique linguistic features and it is of great value for translators and researchers. This is a translation report based on the translation of two international trade contracts. During the translation process, the author finds that the target language and the source language has different origins and characteristics, therefore, if we translate noun into noun, verb into verb directly, it is common that the text translated is not expressive and it does not conform to Chinese usages. Consequently, it is necessary to use the translation skill-word class transference. In that way, the text translated becomes more faithful and more coherent. In this report, the author discusses and summaries the word-class transference towards noun, verb, adjective, adverbial and preposition, and then compares and comments on two different translation versions. In summary, in translating international trade contract, it is efficient to use the skill—word-class transference to deal with word class problems.
