A Report On E-C Translation Of International Business Contracts

With the further deepening of reform and opening up,Chinese foreign economic communication is more and more frequent.In the international economic exchanges,contracts have played a vital role in the promotion and success of international business cooperation.Therefore,based on the translation of international business contractsfrom English to Chinese,the thesis aims at solving the problems in the translation of international business contracts through analyzing and concluding characteristics and translation principles of international business contracts.It makes an in-depth analysis to the translation of ten copies of international business contracts from English to Chinese.Under the guidance of Yan Fu?s three translation principles,the thesis conducts surveys on and concludes the translation methods and skills of words and sentences in the international business contracts.The first chapter of the thesis gives an introduction to the report?s background,significance and structure and the process of the translation practice.The second chapter is the project description which contains the source of the translation project,the requirement of the entrusting party to the author and the some details about the translation project.The third chapter is to analyze the characteristics of international business contracts.In this chapter,the author applies many actual examples to analyze the content and linguistic characteristics of international business contracts.The fourth chapter is the translation principles in the translation of international business contracts---Faithfulness and Accuracy,Expressiveness and Smoothness and Conciseness.The fifth chapter is the case study in which analyzes some translation problems of words and sentences.The sixth chapter is the closing section which is the summary of whole translation process.This paper has found out and solved problems in the process of translation.It plays a guiding role and provides reference value for the future translation practice and research of international business contracts.
