The Study Of The Folk Songs Of Nanchong Village

This paper studies the folk songs of Nanchong Village, Xinxian country, Henan province.The author studies it from the perspective of ethnomusicology. From2011to2012, The author conducted my fieldwork for three times and got first-hand materials and information. During my fieldwork sessions, I used questionnaires, interviews, photography, audio and video recordings and other means.In the meantime, I tried to learn how to sing the folk songs and took some transcription and analysis.Based on the geographic context of the Nanchong folk songs, this paper studies the classification, melody features as well as the mode of inheritance, and its development conditions. Nanchong folk songs have a close relationship with cultures of folklore.At present, Nanchong folk songs face the financial problem and the problem of successors in music. In conclusion,the author thinks scholars should examine Nanchong folk songs and give suggestions on how to protect and develop this traditional culture.
