A Field Study Of The Baimiao Village "Music Community" In The South Of Beijing

Bai Miao village "Music associations" are folk music clubs which are active inBeijing Daxing district Zhanziying town Bai Miao village. By field survey and studyof Bai Miao village " Music associations", this article aims to further improve the casestudy of Sengguan music band in the Central of Henbei province and provide detailedtheoretical arrangement and research materials for Bai Miao village "Musicassociations ", the intangible cultural heritage projects.From the theoretical view of "belief-ceremony-soundscape" set by soundscapein ceremony, the author did field investigation of snuff ceremony music of BaiMiaoVillage “Music associations”. This passage interprets historical origin, culturalenvironment and the style of music form of BaiMiao Village “Music associations”from the perspective of musicology. Therefore, in the first chapter of this passage, theauthor put BaiMiao Village “Music associations”--the country music association--intothe cultral and geographical environment for making an integrity analysis of the faithcognition and culture tradition. In the second chapter, the author make a case study ofsnuff festival to show the whole process of ritual behavior as far as possible andpresent the scene of today’s BaiMiao Village “Music associations”. The third chapteris mainly aimed at deeper analysis of the BaiMiao Village “Music associations”Combined with the research methods of Chinese traditional music forms. The fourthchapter is about the reconstruction of the historical and cultural interpretation ofBaiMiao Village “Music association”.During the research period, the author went deep into the Bai Miao village tointerviewed and photographed. Since the “music associations” is an important part ofSengguan music band in the Central of Henbei province, the academia should exploreand systemize the study of “music associations” continuously and further expand tsmusic theory and practical significance. At the same time, this passage perceive the BaiMiao Village “Music associations” in the perspective of the non-material culturalheritage and combined with the present social and cultural ecological protection.According to the investigation and research on the living space, ritual activities,musical noumenon and the cultural connotation of ontology of the BaiMiao Village“Music associations”, the author concluded as below. First, the research subject is“Sengguan music band in the Central of Henbei province” which is popular in Beijingarea, the subject is consistent with the “Sengguan music band in the Central ofHenbei province” music type in the respect of religious beliefs, ritualistic behaviorsand music style.Second, BaiMiao Village “Music associations” plays the irreplaceablerole in villagers’ lives, the playing of " Music associations " contains the dual functionof "entertain others" and "entertain gods", which also functions as the media andmeans to worship the gods of the country custom; furthermore, through sorting out thehistorical developing skeleton of BaiMiao Village “Music associations”, the authorfound that the survival situation of " Music associations "is closely related with socialculture change. From rural folk art to "non-material cultural heritage protectionobject," BaiMiao Village “Music associations” is well known due to the strong"cultural identity", which is also the intrinsic motivation of its continued inheritance.
