A Practice Report On The Consecutive Interpreting For Anping Shengda Hardware Wire Mesh Co., Ltd

As a report on English-Chinese and Chinese-English consecutive interpretation, the paper describes the interpreting task conducted by the author on China International Hardware Show (CHIS) during the author’s internship at Anping Shengda Hardware Wire Mesh Co., Ltd., and analyzes the interpretation of the negotiation between Andrey, the Russian customer and sales manager of the factory. Then the author analyzes the difficulties and solutions.This report is based on the author’s personal experience of the interpreting work at hardware fair in Shanghai. In the first two chapters, by the analysis of the whole process of interpreting activities including the background, preparing, implementation, and feedback of the task, the author has a further understanding to interpretation; In the third chapter, the author describes the interpreting task and process by analyzing the problems which occur during interpreting task from five aspects and summing up the solution to the problems, and posits the guidance of relevance theory to interpreting in task preparing, source language understanding and remembering, the three different respects; The fourth chapter is the summary of interpreting, the consideration about the future work and study, and emphasizing the study of the strategic competence, transference competence, instrumental competence, and extra-linguistic competence.
