Art forms to express the inner mind of creator in simple and straightforward way which the masses love to see and hear. With the rapid development of the global integration and the process of digital media technology, on the premise of aesthetic and practical uniform, China modern illustration art showing a "multiple" development and flourish of the situation.The performance characteristic is:except the function of illustrate and explain text words of the traditional illustration,more to express subjective thought of the author.From the level of material application and production technology, carrier and communication means constantly updated,make the illustration art development space continues to widen more and more,has the trend of independent from the painting and design.As one of the important forms of modern visual communication,not only the commercial illustration,many independent illustration work has also been widely used in various fields of modern life,From the traditional books, magazines, posters to photography, print media even dynamic media field,modern illustration showing a prosperity never seen before appeared.However, since China adopted reform and opening-up during the past century, past more than three decades years of frequent communication between Chinese and western culture, Chinese modern illustration art forms have also been happened significant changes.Due to the influence of western popular art, made Chinese illustration creator values and aesthetic changed a lot,leading to many artists worship bindly and even imitate copy of foreign style of illustration,these works are not in conformity with the aesthetic needs of the Chinese,some can only be regarded as foreign artists creation thought, whose works have obvious duplicated. Coupled with the regulation and management Chinese modern illustration market is not perfect, especially the development of network information technology, has led to a large number of "the spirit of fast food" that inferior quality, low price, form feeble, the content which lack of profound cultural connotation spread.Aim at the dilemma situation that Chinese modern illustration art tradition is lost and the lack of innovation, exploring the approach which has China traditional development of illustration art characteristics,is a major task must be solved urgently.The origin of this topic is when I consult the predecessors’ research information, found that most of the existing achievement only stay on the elaborate of technique, and the lack of systematic, so combine traditional Chinese ink painting and modern illustration design perfectly as a focal point of this study,and pay attention to the inheritance and development of traditional culture. So, the writing idea of this article first in clarifying the ideas, expounding design process entirly,and combined with professional knowledge and accumulate experience in creative practice.From the expanding of design thinking,and then pursuit to Chinese characteristics on the design concept,With the combination of Chinese traditional culture,then to reference traditional ink painting in the techniques,finally to explore the modern technology in the application of ink painting illustration design.Hope that providing reference for the development of the field.
