Being Image And Being Concrete Things:Personality Training Of Zhang Xuecheng

The conception of personality training in Zhang Xuecheng’s ideological system treats the conception of debate on Heaven v.man. as its logical strat point which investigates the relation of "Dao v. With which as the theory base, Zhang points out the concept of Being image:image expresses the diversity and richness of existing states, and personality training Should follow the example of Being image therefore, personality training is related to the appeal of the subject’s free individuality, as well as the "subjective selectivity" itself, and the personality moulding, in a sense, is the "individual freedom and freewill of choice", i.e., becoming a form that follows the subject’s will, including a "subjective free opportunity", that has reflected Zhang’s notice for free personality training. In the same time, Zhang asserts that personality training lies in likewise the subject’s obedience to the national laws which unification of the both officer and teacher, state and the church. Under such a theory, individual’s study, knowledge, thoughts and even personality must obey political authority, and cannot get out of the institutional constraint one small step. Zhang places individual existing among the state apparatus, which is controlled by the authority, that transforms subjects as subservients to the system, and to extension of the system. The second dimension of concrete things is "machine". The subject is not a natural person, but an alienation of and a loss of liberty personality because of the interference of external constraints. Concrete things(social being) is originally treated as ontological basis which makes Being image possible, but after this, concrete things (state apparatus) dispels the concept of Being image in itself. Whitin the two concepts Being concrete things and Being image, from the inclusiveness at first to the tense confrontation finally, Zhang’ s personality training inherent tension is derived.
