Research On Wu Xiqi’s Ci Poetry And Ci Theory

Wu Xiqiè(1746■1848), who styled his name as Sheng zheng and Gu ren, born in Zhejiang province. He was a famous ci poet during emperor Qianlong and Jiaqing period in Qing dynasty. He wrote You Zeng Wei Zhai Poetry, You Zheng Wei Zhai Ci Poetry, You Zheng Wei Zhai Pian Ti Wen and some other works. He was regarded as an important representative of zhexi ci faction. He and Guo Lin were both the leaders of late zhexi ci faction. He made some innovation on Inheriting of the traditional theory of zhe xi faction, presented some ideas such as "qiong er hou gong","er mai bing chong". In his later years he personally sorted out his own ci poetry<you zheng wei zhai ci poetry>, A total of ten volumes, almost500ci poems.Wu Xiqi was during the interim period from zhexi ci faction to changzhou ci faction, studying his ci poems and ci theory will be helpful for us to grain deeper knowledge about Ci collectanea of Qing Dynasty.The thesis is divided into five parts, introduction, epilogue and three chapters of the main part. Introduction part discuses the meaning of the research, and makes a short review of the research on Wu Xiqi. The first chapter is about his all life, takes Hangzhou, Beijing and Yangzhou as clew. The second part discuses the ci theory of Wu Xiqi, makes a summary of his ideas on ci. The third part is the centre part which focus on the ci poems of Wu Xiqi And evaluates it. Epilogue part makes a summary of his ci poems and ci theory,also evaluates his value.
