People had friends throughout life. Friendship quality was a criterion objective evaluation of the friendship. There was relationship between friendship and loneliness, pressure,academic achievement. The study was to research the relationship between university students’ adult attachment.emotional intelligence and friendship quality,and then started from the friendship quality to find a new way to deal with the problem of university students’pressure, loneliness and academic achievement.With the help of random cluster sampling method,600university students were extracted from four universities to research their McGill Friendship Questionnaires, Schutte self-report Emotional Intelligence Scale and Experience in Close Relationships Scale, SPSS18.0software were used for statistical data analysis. It was found that:(1) College students got lower score on anxiety and avoidance dimension, so they tend to be the secure attachment.(2) There were no significant difference between singleton and non-singleton in adult attachment. But singleton got higher score on avoidance dimension than non-singleton.There were significant gender difference in the university students’adult attachment. Male students got higher score than female students. Adult attachment did not exist significant difference in grade. But Sophomores got higher score than juniors in both the anxiety and avoidance (3) dimension.(4) There were significant gender differences in university students emotional intelligence in general. Female students scored significantly higher than male students.There were significant difference between singleton and non-singleton in emotional intelligence. The singleton scored significantly higher than non-singleton.(5) There were significant gender difference in the university students’ friendship quality. Female students scored significantly higher than male students.There were significant difference between singleton and non-singleton in friendship quality except the reliable alliance dimension.(6) Adult attachment and motional intelligence could effectively predict friendship quality.
