Abundant quantifier is a striking feature of Chinese Vocabulary, and individualmeasure words for nouns with characteristic become one of the dififculties ofcorrectly mastering and applying Chinese for learners. For Japanese withquantifier("josushi") in their mother language, the double effect of first language andthe target language is more obvious. Based on contrast research production of people,author built a quantifier error corpus by way of questionnaire survey,divided errorclasses, analyzed error causes and gave quantifier teaching advice.This study can be divided into3parts: The first part mainly includes proceduredescription and finding analysis of the survey. To do so, a questionnaire survey wascarried to present the acquisition of common individual measure words of Japanesestudents at intermediate stage. Besides, Interview was used to explore the learningfeelings, thoughts and attitudes of the students.The second part studied the fact of Japanese students’ learning quantiifers,put forward the types of error and had an analysis on the reasons why these errors formed. According the data analysis, WE tried to typify the main classes of error types: misuse of synonymous quantifiers, misuse of homonymousquantifiers, misuse of “josushi,,,misuse of quantifier "ge",misuse of other quantifiers. Error’s formation is the common-effect of subjective and objectivefactors. Objective factors include the differences in form, structure, application, effect and habit between two languages as well as the disturbance of instr uctions of target language. In point of learners,subjective factors include thelearners’ differences in Learning strategy, methods and mental activity of memUnder the conditions of the previous two parts, the third part compared thedifferent features of quantifiers’ compilation of several classical textbook and gavecompilation opinions. Teaching suggestions was mainly focused on four aspects:contrast, discrimination,classification,practice.Beyond that, we strongly recommendedthat teachers should help to build a quantifier system, extend the application of oldquantifiers and confirm the accepted body of knowledge by situational practice orcommunicative activities.
