Many people were almost forgotten in the20th century Chinese art history. However, as a famous scholar, artist and a leader of Jiusan society, Mr. Luspa’s contribution for China fine art education should not be ignored. But we regreted to find that there were few records about him through the Internet and literatures.This master’s thesis was a monograph about all the oil paintings drawn by Mr. Luspa in Nanjing Normal University. It analysed Mr. Luspa’s thirty-one works on the basis of previous studies, then, elucidated his life experiences and the changes of Chine fine art education associated with these works.The thesis divided Mr. Luspa’s works into three phases, early school years and study in France, the republic of China and the communist era. And it also classified these works into three categories, still life painting, figure painting and landscape painting. This paper stated maily three aspects as follows:Firstly, Mr. Luspa’s oil paintings, as important tangible evidences and image documents, are the focal points of research, so the paper put three category works into a form and indicated creating data in each (according to the autograph time in original works or literatures). Then, arranged the same kind works in time sequence and annotated "study in France","the republic of China" or "the communist era". After these fundamental steps, it also discussed the changes of Mr. Luspa’s painting style.Secondly, this paper analysed Mr. Luspa’s view towards education combined with his life experience, works and so on. Luspa’s creation practice and education once were in concert with the main trend of Chinese oil paintings, and he was the pioneer and leader of the realism oil painting educational idea provided by Xu Beihong. He strongly recommended nationalization exploration on creation and did not reject any genre of work or study any school of art blindly. He was mainly engaged in attempting classical realism and impressionistic style. Besides that, he praised highly about Repin Nikolay. Mr. Luspa constantly improved himself and encouraged his students to devote on Chinese oil paintings, so he was a great art educator indeed. Mr. Luspa was a good teacher and friend because of his low-key style, gentle and never participated in group struggle. He was also an example in interpersonal relationship.Thirdly, Mr. Luspa was a man with personality, higher consciousness, careful and considerate.This paper aimed at helping more people know about Mr. Luspa and his works, engrave the elderly artists’ great contributions for Chinese art.
