Chinese art songs digest and absorb Western traditional western composition skills. At the same time,they also attach great importance to traditional cultural concerns that contain strong historical and ethnic characteristics,enabling Chinese art songs,with their unique temperament,to hold a unique position in the realm of art songs the word over. This dissertation focus on the history of Chinese and Western art songs, taking Three Wishes of Rose and Cacilie as an example, through the analysis and comparison of these two songs finally peep out some singing regularity and Enlightenment. This dissertation was divided into four chapters. First chapter represented the emerging and development of both Chinese song and Lieder.Second chapter gave a brief introduction of Huang Zi and Richard Strauss.Third chapter Analysis and comparison of Three Wishes of Rose and Cacilie.And in the last chapter,Conclusion from analysis and comparison of Three Wishes of Rose and Cacilie.
