A Contrastive Study Between The Business Chinese Oral Test And The Business English Certificate Oral Test

Business Chinese Test (BCT) and Cambridge Business English Certificate (BEC) are both large national language tests for business purpose which share an amount of similarities. Firstly, this dissertation offers an overall introduction from their organizers, national and global influence, test types and certificates. Meanwhile, compare all these aspects as a leading-in foundation for the next study. Then, this dissertation mainly compares their oral tests from the types of problems and rating criteria respectively. Some corresponding oral study materials are chosen to see how exam-oriented they are. The researcher illustrates these two tests’ own characteristics with some official information and charts, try to offer a judgment about their advantages and disadvantages from a learner-centered angle. Eventually, based on the above analysis result, list some tips and measures that we should learn from the BEC, so as to further assist the international promotion of Business Chinese Test.
