Wuxiang Poetic Theories’ Study In Late Tang And Five Dynasties

Wuxiang is an important theoretical category in Shige in Late Tang and Five Dynasties.This concept has two meanings: one refers to the nature of the objective figures; another oneis the figure based on the imagination of subjective will combined with objective ones.Bydividing a complete object type, Wuxiang is given to rational meanings in Shige in Late Tangand Five Dynasties.The main body of this paper includes the background of Shige in Late Tang and FiveDynasties; the theory of Wuxiang in Shige of Late Tang and Five Dynasty; the relationshipbetween the poetics theories and the theory of Wuxiang; the effects in the poetics of Shige inLate Tang and Five Dynasties.The first part is the defination about origin、transformation and feature of Shige in LateTang and Five Dynasties. Then analyzed the reason of the reason of Shige in Late Tang andFive Dynasty, that is,the imperial examination system which took the officials by the poet,theturbulent social environment, the maturity of the modern style poetry,the poetic prevailingcustom about industrious versification,the influence of Confucianism, Buddhism culture andso on.The second part is concentrated on Wuxiang theory in Late Tang and Five Dynasties.Thispart mainly carries out the "Wuxiang" and the relationship between“inside and outsidemeaning" under the guidance of the object type and "position objects" in Shige in Late Tangand Five Dynasties.The third part is about the relationship between the “Wuxiang” theory and other theoriesabout poetry. This part mainly analyzes how to use the Wuxiang of poetry characteristics ofmetaphor of poetry in Late Tang and Five Dynasties, the relationship between "Wuxiang" and"Ge gao",“Wuxiang and function”and so on.The fourth part mainly talks about the significance and the influence of poetics abouttheory of Wuxiang. Reflect the long ignored significance of poetics in the poetic theory bytwo aspects,which are influence on the Song Dynasty poetics and the new change inWuxiang theory in Shige in Late Tang and Five Dynasties. Wuxiang theory in Shige in Late Tang and Five Dynasties reflects the deepeningunderstanding of poetry genre of poetry theory, exploration progress in the poetics,which hasthe groundbreaking in the history of poetics.
