Research On Wang Xizhi’s Prose

After a long period of development,the prose presents parallelism trends graduallyin Wei Jin southern and northern dynasties． It has more antithetical sentences, moreneat antithesis,and more frequent use of allusions．All of these make the prose takingon a magnificent and symmetrical style．However，Wang Xizhi’s prose showsdifferent features：unbalanced and irregular form,little use of allusions,natural andsimple style, which makes his proses different from the metaphysics and parallelproses in the mid-eastern Jin．The article mainly researches Wang Xizhi’s proses,andrelies on the cultural background of the society at that time, in order to stress theunique feature of his proses．This thesis includes four parts：the first part is the overview of Wang Xizhi’sproses．It mainly discusses its ideological contents and artistic characteristics．Thesecond part explores the formation reasons of its style from two aspects：society andindividual．The third part is the comparison of Wang Xizhi’s proses and contemporaryproses,which concentrates on the the basic components and artistic style．The last partstudies the historical position of Wang Xizhi’s prose in the Eastern Jin literature．...
