Xizhi Wang's calligraphy style is highly advocated in the Tang Dynasty,one of the most important manifestations was the emergence of a large number of inscriptions with characters extracted from Wang's handwriting scripts.This article focuses on the research of these inscriptions and the study of remnants of the Running Scripts inscriptions and Dunhuang unearthed folklore handwriting scripts from Tang Dynasty,trying to explain the influence of the collection of Wang's handwriting scripts and trying to explore the causes of different styles of the Running Scripts in inscriptions during the Tang Dynasty.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part mainly analyzes the particularity of the inscriptions with characters collected from Wang's scripts,and points out its difference with the original Wang's handwriting.The second part focuses on the analysis of these inscriptions,meantime performing analysis of the geographical position of the inscriptions and the identity of the inscription authors,which would demonstrate the necessary conditions for the prevailing of these inscriptions in the Tang Dynasty.The third part focuses on the study of the style of the inscriptions in the Tang Dynasty,which helps to prove the partial influence of these inscriptions and its characteristics of the times.In the fourth part,in order to explain the cause of different styles of the Running Scripts inscriptions in the Tang Dynasty mentioned in last chapter,the evolution of the court style in handwriting scripts and the handwriting habits in the folk is studied.This article tries to deepen the understanding of the calligraphy of the Tang Dynasty and aims to draw attention to the Tang Xing Styled inscriptions from Tang Dynasty by taking the research on the inscriptions collected from Xizhi Wang's handwriting scripts as well as the handwriting leaning habits in Tang Dynasty.
