This chapter selects some typical self-portraits and their creators to make case studies, thus the relation between self-portrait and the painter is brought into the discussion. The second chapter analyzes the self-portrait painter and the self-portrait’s abstract method of creation. This chapter discusses on the roles that self-portrait’ painter and self-portrait play and the tasks they both undertake on the concept of abstraction.
