Social avoidance is the individual performance of shrink back and defense tendencies insocial interaction, it causes a slight experience of shyness and timid, even serious degrees ofstrike of affright and frustration in cognitive, emotion and behavior. Graduate students are themost energetic and dynamic peers, and the core competitiveness of talent, carrying importantmission of the national resurgence. However, it is quite common to graduate students thereare different degrees of social avoidance problem. They cannot foothold in the social realitywell. Which caused confusion and distress is living in the top three in the ratio of counselingcase. Exploring ways to graduate social avoidance of intervention has a positive meaning formental health and overall growth of graduate.In this study, there are300graduate students for the study, including two elements, toverify that the Sandplay can effectively identify and intervene the social avoidance ofgraduate. Study1: Grant the Social Avoidance and Distress Scale (SAD) to Liaoning NormalUniversity graduate student, select30students with social avoidance as experimental groupand30students without social avoidance as control group. Then, let2groups make the initialSandplay case, and through the comparison of2groups on each dimension, find Sandplayfeatures of social avoidance graduate. Study2: Using case study, make a series ofinterventions to two students who are voluntarily to accept follow-up treatment, andinvestigate Sandplay effectiveness in social avoidance graduate intervention.The results showed that:(1) Two groups have Significantly differences in trauma themes, scenes work, the useof the toy, the situation appears self-image and the moving sand case; there is noSignificantly difference in the number of moves and work production time.(2)By analysis the diversification of Self-Assessment, Others reflect, and Sandplay andthe differences of the psychological measurement results, improve that the Sandplay caneffectively identify and intervene the social avoidance of graduate.
