The Phonological Study Of Wuli Dialect In The City Of Guigang

Wuli town is a relatively conservative place which is located in the southwest of Guigang city.Also located in the border between Guigang city and Yunbiao town of Hengxian,Wuli dialect is a transitional dialect between Guigang Cantonese and Pinghua dialect in southern Guangxi,it has its own unique characteristics. However,from the researched literatures we can find the study of Wuli dialect is in the blank stage, consequently, on the basis of materials which investigated by myself,we describes and analyzess the system of Wuli dialect systematically and summarize the charateristics of Wuli dialect.Then,comparing Wuli dialect with Guigang Cantonese,Madong dialect,Yunbiao Pinghua to find their similarities and differences, from analysis we can find Wuli dialect is similar to Yunbiao Pinghua.This paper is divided into six chapters.Chapter1is introduction.It mainly introduces the overview of Wuli town,which includes the geographical environment,population,history, Language using situation and the existing literatures on Guigang city,and aim, significance, methods of this paper.Chapter2depicts the system of Wuli dialect systematically,then summarizes its charateristics and the coordinate law of consonants,vowels and tone, sorts out the homophony syllabary of Wuli dialect.Chapter3compares Wuli dialect with medieval tone to observe the Historical evolution of Wuli dialect.Chapter4analyzes historical levels of Wuli dialect.Chapter5compares Wuli dialect with Guigang Cantonese, Madong dialect and Yunbiao dialect from synchronic plane,from the comparison we can find their similarities and differences,fmally,we can find which is similar to Wuli dialect.Chapter6is the conclusion of this paper.
