"Intertextuality" was put forward by Julia Crystal Eva, then it had been praised by some scholars, such as Roland Barthes, Girard Hot Knight, Jacques Derrida, and so on. They have made the term vigorous and developmental from different perspectives. By the80s, the term had been introduced into China. Then it opened up prospects broadly. The object of this paper is a study of the intertextuality of Mo Yan’s novels, trying to analyze the relationship in Mo Yan’s novels texts, and between Mo Yan’s novels, others’texts and history text, and find out the testability and the process and experiment of Mo Yan’s novels narration. This paper is divided into four parts:the introduction, the main body of the paper (3aspects).The first part is the introduction. It discusses the development of intertextuality in the West and in China. Crystal Eva and other theorists had put forward the theory from broad and narrow aspects. And in China, it had developed from the80s. The second part is the combination between the intertextuality and some research of Mo Yan’s novels:This section is in terms of the interpretation as a starting point. The theory of intertextuality with abstractness is different from the rhetorical function of intertextuality. After clarifying this, with comprehensive characteristics, I think that intertextuality is different from the impact. After elaborating intertextuality, I think that the factors of it, such as repetition, differences, deconstruction, and the diachronic character of text, are combined with Chinese contemporary literature criticism. So the combination between the intertextuality and Mo Yan’s novels is advisable. And the comprehensive characteristic of the theory fits to the history, folk, and illusion narrative of Mo Yan’s novels. The third part is the main part of the paper. The aim is to study the intertextuality of Mo Yan’s novels. The research will carry out from three aspects. Firstly, the intertextuality of Mo Yan’s novels; secondly, the intertextuality of the novels between MoYan’s, Faulkner’s, Marck’s, Pu Songling’s, and Lu Xun’s; thirdly, the intertextuality between Mo Yan’s novels history and novel. The fourth part is the text intertextuality function of Mo Yan’s fictions, including the narrative function and aesthetic function. Firstly, about repeating from his novels, many scholars and researchers question it. I think it is not only the embodiment of the writer individual inner feelings, but also is the breakthroughs in his narrative test. And it embodies modernity and worldwide. Secondly, the aesthetic function of Mo Yan’s fictions is the form beauty, assembling beauty and tension beauty.Lastly, it embodies the implosion of narrative effect. The last chapter:Mo Yan’s novels narrative is procedural, diachronic, destructive and expansionary.
