The Trimming And Research On Yanqing Shen’s Huaiqingyigao

This article is divided into two parts, one is the trimming onHuaiqingyigao,another one is the research about Yanqing Shen.The paper is nearlyone hundred and ten thousand words.Huaiqingyigao which has six volumes is written by Yanqing Shen.The fisrtvolume is the Fu.The second volume is the poetry.The third and fourth volume are theShudu.The fifth volume is the Shuqi.The sixth volume is miscellaneous.The contentof the appendix are biographies, poetries written by his relatives and friends.Huaiqingyigao’s words are beautiful, and its content is rich.The book mostly recordedwhat Yanqing Shen saw, heared, felt,and how he dealt with politics. Through its textwe can glimpse of that era’s people, business, institutional, social,and so on. SoHuaiqingyigao has high literary value and historical value, and this is the meaning oftrimming on it.Yanqing Shen, also known as Huaiqing, came from Shidai of Anhui province.Hewas born in the eighteenth year of Jiaqing (1813).After passing the highest imperialexaminations in the fifteenth year of Daoguang (1835),he worked as an officer officialin many places of Jiangxi, such as Jinxi,Xingguo, Anyi, Taihe, Poyang.During theperiod of working as an officer,he worked hard,and took education seriously andcared about the people.Peacetime he paid attention to the state and making friendswidely, further more he likes writings.He ever wrote six volumes of Xuezhicao,but itwas stolen and lost.His works now we can get are Huaiqingyigao, Huaiqingzhengjiand Tuanlianxiangshoubeiyao. He is a pragmatic and upright person,and he died inthe battle of resisting invasion of Taipingjun in the third year of Xianfeng(1853).
