A Study On Relationship Between Geoheritage And Cultural Relics In Yanqing Geopark

The proposed Yanqing Global Geopark of China is rich in geoheritage,ecological and cultural heritage resources.The geopark is dominated by the Yanshanian Movement-related geoheritage,with high scientific research and popularization significance.Meanwhile,the geopark and surrounding area are of a complete ecosystem,with a high biodiversity,such as the Yeya(wild duck)Lake National Wetland Reserve and Mount Songshan Nature Reserve.Badaling Great Wall and Guyaju(Ancient Cliff-dwelling Site)are the famous cultural heritage sites on the geotrails in the geopark.Yanqing Geopark has got a boost in the geopark development in recent years,obtained a great achievement in the geoheritage and cultural heritage protection.However,there are still some problems in its developing process,for examples,some developed scenic areas are still at the lower level in tourist service and lack of cultural connotation,and some new discovered geoheritage sites have not been well protected.Based on the field investigation for related resources,literature searching and consultancy to experts,this paper mainly deals with the relationship between geoheritage and cultural heritage in the geopark in terms of the geological,geomorphic and ecological theories.At first,this paper analyzes the forming origins of Yanshanian movement-related Badaling granite complex and its structural landform,associated with the relationship between the eco-environmental change and historical climate shift along the Great Wall,and then,the relationship between the selection and building the Great Wall by ancient people and Badaling granite complex is discussed.Secondly,for the mysterious Guyaju(Ancient Cliff-dwelling Site),this paper mainly analyzes the forming background and petrological properties of the granite body where the Guyaju is situated,explores the relationship the selection and building the cliff dwellings by ancient people and the structural joints in the granite,reveals that the ancient people demonstrated their wisdom and talent in full use of natural conditions,and at last,this paper points out the unique relationship between geoheritage and cultural relics,which becomes a charming tourist resources in the geopark.The results not only benefit in promoting the geopark's cultural connotation and reputation,but also meet the needs of various visitors.It will be helpful to geopark visitors for a better understanding in geoheritage,science popularization and relationship between geoheritage and cultural heritage,and achieve the aim of raising visitor's awareness on geoheritage and cultural relics protection.
