Bilingual cognitive advantage refers to individuals who possess two or more linguistic experiences outperform Monolingual in cognitive ability. The executive function as an important advanced cognitive ability is closely related to language experience.A large number of studies have demonstrated that bilingual outperform than monolingual in executive functions.Recent studies have begun to discuss whether there are differences in executive function among different mother tongue bilinguals.Research in this direction is still relatively scarce. There are 26 ethnic groups in Yunnan province. In addition to the Hui and Manchu speak Chinese, other ethnic groups have their own languages.Their national languages belong to different language families.Except using their own language, they must also master Chinese the official language in China.Whether the bilingual advantages of executive function can be reflected in individuals who are ethnic minorities in Yunnan Province, and whether there are differences in the executive function between the bilingual who have different language groups of mother tongue,it remains to be further studied. Therefore,we assume that there are differences in the executive function of the bilingual who have different language groups of mother tongue in Yunnan Province. This paper compares the differences in executive functions of bilinguals whose mother tongues belong to different language groups through experimental methods and discusses them on the basis. Our study chose 85 junior students, including Yi,Dai and Han people.Han people were defined as monolingual,Yi and Dai people were bilingual.Based on past related research, exploring the differences among three groups on inhibitory control and shifting, which are sub-functions of executive function. This study adopted six tasks including Stroop,Simon,Antisaccade,Number shifting,Color-shape and Local-global to separately study the differences of the two sub-functions of the there groups of participants and therefore investigate whether different bilingual experience has an impact on executive functions. The results of the study show that there are no differences among the three groups of subjects in inhibiting function. On the tasks of shifting function, compared to the monolingual, bilingual groups showed advantages, which supported bilingual advantage study results of other researchers and scholars.Furthermore, the Dai bilingual outperformed the Yi bilingual, and it also indicated that there are differences between the bilingual students Who have different language groups of mother tongue on executive functions.
