Lun Heng is not only the main work of studying Wang Chong’s thoughts, but also the importantdocuments during the progress of interpreting Han dynasty’s history. It is nearly almost two thousand yearssince this book. The evaluation is mixed in literature. Someone praised it as a great and fantastic writing;Others criticize it is to depart from the classics and rebel against orthodoxy and illegal even no saint. Thedistance is far and the controversial is great.The theory of value in Lun Heng, namely the content of Wang Chong’s thoughts, is consist offour aspects: naturalism, atheism, epistemology, determinism. And in the textual structure of on balance,the thought of fatalism occupies a large proportion. In the ideological spectrum of on balance, fatalism isthe important part and the stretch of Wang Chong’s view of nature in the society and history’s field.Although this stretch exists has inevitable limitations under today’s perspective, it is the organic part ofWang Chong’s thoughts and the times’ perception and thinking of historical environment by intellectuals,which has a rich connotation.The theory of life destiny in Lun Heng is the result of Wang Chong’s own perception, itshows his thinking of environment life in social history as a intellectual. When he faced the fickleness ofthe world and helpless of in personal life, Wang Chong describes it as “gas”, he thinks “gas” decides thethickness of the difference of the “life”. He thinks if people have thick “gas”, they will have “good life”.Otherwise the result is opposite. When people have “gas”, a person efforts may be hard to change and “gas”comes from “god”, such understanding belongs to the result of his applying naturalism to societymechanically. So he ignored the social complexity and failed to recognize the special development law ofsocial field, as a result, he is inevitable to step into negative theory.Given the Lun Heng is the main source of understanding based on Wang Chong thoughts on lifeand Wang Chong Lun Heng. Textual historical facts, such as a book, in favor of a more clear and accurateunderstanding of the idea of Wang Chong, so with a chapter of the thesis and Wang Chong work relatedto research, intended to grasp the objective facts as accurately as possible. Briefly analysis of the proposed“Lun Heng” ideological pedigree, aimed at connecting link, highlight the “Determinism” in Lun Heng chapter structure and Wang Chong ideology plays an important role in both. Wang Chong’s determinismconstitutes a series of related concepts. Wang Chong’s “determinism” thinking on–“gas”; the “life” of core;to the “body” of the external manifestations; to “when” for the realization of conditions, but also contains a“teachable acquired” and “sex”. Wang Chong’s life and social history are directly reflected his fatalismthought. Intends to analyze the reasons for Wang “determinism” ideological formation, mainly from thesocial atmosphere, personal experience and theoretical limitations of three aspects. Wang Chong don’t meetis inevitable. It’s the result of comprehensive shaping of many factors in his character. The “determinism”is Wang Chong’s thought foothold in the real society, the dilemma has deep theoretical roots. WangChong thinking about life and humanity, with the reality of critical spirit, reflects the reaction of socialreality, but it is difficult to conceal their thoughts and negative components, things are ordained negativesense of the limitations of their thinking is still the biggest lies.Wang “Determinism” thought of “life” thinking, who was later to “life” provides the basis forcognitive and learning, they are thinking in the history of human thought also occupies an importantposition in contemporary society cognitive and thinking related issues, is still realistic reference value andsignificance.
