The function word “le” is an important grammar point in the primary stage ofteaching Chinese as second language, and has been used generally in oral language. Inpractical teaching Chinese as a second language,“le” is not only a critical point, but also adifficult point for foreigners who are learning Chinese. There is correlation betweengrammatical study and organization of grammatical points in the textbook, which has animpact in the effectiveness of learning. From the perspective of foreign students whosemain purpose of learning is to use language in practice, Elementary Spoken Chinese andProficient in Chinese are two oral Chinese textbooks in the initial stage with similarfeatures. The author has done research and analysis about the organization of grammaticalpoint “le” in the two textbooks mentioned above. The author also has analysed theadvantages and drawbacks of organization of grammatical point in the textbooks, found outwhat needs to be improved. Finally the author has come up with several suggestions forimprovement, setting reference for use.
