The "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" is one of the four famous Chinese classical novels, it have made great achievements in the ideological contents and artistic techniques, and have had an extensive impact on generations of Ming and Qing dynasties and hereafter. The novel is of great significance, and it is highly respected by the majority of scholars. Current researches on the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" focus on the aspects of content structure, theme, version, themes subjects, characters and its empowering. Only very few researches focus on vocabulary, and the research on idioms is on the stage of initiation. Therefore, we hope that the contents and research methods of this paper have some reference function in the follow-up study of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms".Based on the366idioms summarized from the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms Dictionary", this paper makes comprehensive, systemic and deeply research with methods of combination of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, Comparative, typical analysis, in order to probe into the basic situation and characteristics of idioms appeared in the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", and to learn the situation of their acceptance in Korea.Firstly, this paper describs and analyzes the idioms of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" in detail from aspects of source, structure and content. Most idioms come from the "History of the Three Kingdoms","History of the Latter-Han Dynasty""History of the Jin Dynasty","A New Account of Tales of the World" and the other books, and there are some more come from "Romance of the Three Kingdoms Dictionary". Only from the construction area, most idioms are of joint type, and then partial formal, subject-predicate type, verb-object type. From the point of content, the idioms’descriptive angle focus mainly on politic and military, character portrayal, the situation of things.Secondly, this paper mainly probes into the similarities and differences of idioms of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" in China and Korea. Since idioms of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" spread to Korea, some of them are preserved intact, some of them come down to us with a little change in terms of forms and meanings, and some of them are completely changed into expression of Korean style. The main reasons for the differences of forms are:differences in grammars, differences of cognitive psychology f, Korea’s pursue of four words’ format of idioms and idioms’easy understanding. The main reasons for the differences of meanings are: misreading by understanding’s departure, differences of viewpoints and the differences of the development of idioms.Finally, this paper analyzes the idioms of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" used in the "Asian Daily" from1920to1999, to spy out the usage of idioms in Korea. We can know that idioms of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" has penetrated into the daily lives of the Koreans and enriched the corpus of Korean in a certain extent.
