The Research Of Shanzuo Poet Xie Chonghui And His Family’s Poetry At The Beginning Of The Qing Dynasty

Xie Chonghui was an important poet of Shanzuo poetic circle, who was one of "Jin Tai Shi Zi" on a par with Tian Wen.He also agreed to the concept of verve which was put up by Wang Shizhen. He created lots of poems, which were full of verve, which promoted the development of the concept of verve. Xie Chonghui became an official because of his father. He got acquainted with lots of famous poets at that time, such as Gu Yanwu, Wang Shizhen, Yan Guangmin, Kong Shangren. The literary communication between Xie Chonghui and these famous poets made his poems better. Xie Chonghui had the work Xing Cun Shi Ji, which was very famous then. Xie Chonghui’s later generations also created lots of literary works and they were good. The Xie family gained enough achievement.While morden scholars hasn’t paid enough attention to the literature of the Xie family. They have shown solicitude for Xie Chonghui and his poems. But there are totally not research production about his family. So it is necessary to study Xie Chonghui and his family’s works. It will be helpful for the research about the literature of Dezhou and Shanzuo.The research contents of this article mainly include three parts:first, the development of the Xie family; second, Xie Chonghui’s career, literary works and communication; third, the inheritance of the Xie fanily’s literay works. This article is based on the poems of the Xie family and the inscriptions on the gravestones.This article is divided into five chapters.Chapter1is about the development of the Xie famliy. It will study the members and their career from the Ming dynasty to the Qing dynasty. The changes caused by the revolution had great influence on this family. This issue will be helpful for realizing the historical background.Chapter2is about the life of Xie Chonghui and his literary works. It will investigate some important issues about Xie Chonghui, such as the dates of his birth and death, his natural father and the reason of his resignation. About his literay creation, it will be based on his Xing Cun Shi Ji, which will help make clear of the propagation of his works and the influence he made.Chapter3is about the literay communication between Xie Chonghui and other poets. These poets can be divided into three parts:the great ones, Jin Tai Shi Zi and his fellow-townsmen. Xie Chonghui’s style was changing through the communication, learning from others made Xie’s poems more beautiful and more charming.Chapter4is the most important part of this article. It mainly studies the contents and style of Xing Cun Shi Ji. The most charming poems of this poetry are the idylls,which are natural and simple.There are also many poems about the normal life of common people. Xie Chonghui showed great sympathy to this kind of reality. Xie also Commemorate his friends through poems which are very touching. The most obvious characteristic of this poetry is fresh and natural.Chapter5is about the works of Xie Chonghui’s later generationgs, especially the works created by Xie Jiuxi. Xie Chonghui’s offspring also made great effort to created poems and achieved grades to some extent. Xie Jiuxi’s poems are different from Xie Chonghui’s. But thanks to his life, his poems had real feelings which made them impressive.The last part of this article it the conclusion. Although the Xie famlily was declining day after day, the works created by its members had a very important influence on the literature of Shanzuo poetic circle. We should pay more attention to the Xie family and his literary creation.
