Cooperation is one of the core concepts of positive psychology research, it has become a hot research topic. College students as the backbone of the society, shoulders the hope of country, the training of their comprehensive quality and cooperation spirit are significant for both themselves and our country. Early youth is also a important period of individual socialization, so for this period of individuals, guide their development of the cooperative behavior has very important significance, it will help individuals better socialization and more effectively to adapt to the changing society.Existing research has discussed the relations between cognitive style and zhongyong self, cognitive style and cooperative behavior,or zhongyong self and cooperative behavior. The results show that, there were significant negative correlation between cognitive style and zhongyong variable; In the interpersonal conflict scene, high zhongyong level students choose more cooperative strategies;Field dependent children tend to group cooperative learning.With the questionnaires,we investigated the insight relationships between cognitive style,zhongyong self and cooperative behavior, then verify the mediating effect of zhongyong self. The study,on the one hand, exploring the relationship between the three variables, setting up the inner relationship model of the three variables, helping us to understand that how these traits associated with personality affect cooperative behavior on the theoretical level, enriching and perfecting the theory of cooperative behavior, which provides the theoretical foundation for further study. On the other hand,it can help us to identify various qualities at the practice level, better configuration personnel, promote the cooperation behavior of the individual, guide the individual to be more benign interaction in society, it also provides us a new thinking and new methods to enhance the level of zhongyong self from the angle of culture,then improve individual cooperative behavior.This research was divided into two stages:The first stage is preliminary study,we used"College students zhongyong self questionnaire" to carry out testing by a sample of149 college students, verified the reliability and validity of the measurement instrument.The second stage was the formal study,we used"Embedded Figure Test ",the validated "College students zhongyong self questionnaire"and a cooperation game model based on the dilemma game, to carry out testing by a sample of426college students from Hubei province and Guangxi province, and used Deffierence Tests,correlation and regression statistical methods to explore the characteristics of cognitive style,zhongyong self and cooperative behavior,and search the inner relationship between these variables.The results of the study are as follows:(1)"College students zhongyong self questionnaire" had a good construct validity and internal consistency reliability. The College students zhongyong self consists of four factors: adaptive regulation,yin and yang cognition, external peaceful experience, internal moderate experience. All fit statistics of the model were satisfied with statistical standards, Cronbach coefficient of the questionnaire was0.765.(2) College students’ cognitive style had significant differences in profession demographic variables,the score of cognitive style of science college students was statistically higher than that of arts college students; College students’ cognitive style had no significant differences in gender,school level and whether they are the only child demographic variables.(3) College students’ zhongyong self had significant differences in gender demographic variables,the score of adaptive regulation factor and the totle zhongyong self of boy was statistically higher than that of girl; College students’ zhongyong self had no significant differences in profession,school level and whether they are the only child demographic variables.(4) College students’ cooperative behavior had significant differences in profession demographic variables,the score of cooperative behavior of arts college students was statistically higher than that of science college students; College students’ cognitive style had no significant differences in gender, whether they are the only child, school level and gender matching variables.(5) College students’ cognitive style was negatively correlated with zhongyong self, the score of cognitive style had an obvious negatively predictablefunction to zhongyong self.(6) College students’ zhongyong self was positively correlated with cooperative behavior, zhongyong self had an obvious positively predictable function to cooperative behavior.(7) College students’ cognitive style was negatively correlated with cooperative behavior, the score of cognitive style had an obvious negatively predictable function to cooperative behavior.(8)Zhongyong self had a significant mediator effect between cognitive style and cooperative behavior,it can be used as a mediating variable.
