In recent years, with the strong media publicity, attention has been gradually focus on China historical culture of ancient villages which are known as "Pearls of traditional culture","National treasures of folk collection". Third, through field investigatio n, it puts forward the tourism development problems via case study of protection and tourism development of Wenzhou settlement-type Cangpo village. Fourth, it alsoproposes the ancient village, cultural tourism development strategies, tourism p roductdevelopment strategies, the development of tourism market and marketing pla n based on the Cangpo case study analysis and combined with the existing proble ms.By choosing Cangpo village in Wenzhou Nanxi River basin as a case study, the essay elaborates the train of thought of Wenzhou ancient village protection and tourism development, analyzes and researches on how to handle the ancient village protection and tourism development in balance, which is not only a theoretical problem, but a practical problem.Finally, integrated aforementioned research, the essay proposes protection and development strategy of traditional settlement, hope to attract more attention of scholars on the study of traditional settlement type of ancient villages, and hope to provide ideas and reference significance for the protection and development of anc ient village in the traditional settlement type.
