After Baudrillard’s breaking away with Marxism, seduction comes to replace symbolic exchange and other terms, occupying a new position within Baudrillard’s texts. It is employed by Baudrillard to deal with the problematic of capitalist worship of production and modern subjectivity. This paper is aimed to probe into Baudrillard’s logic of seduction, by using integral methodology synthetizing two previous approaches, that is, to explain Baudrillard with his own terms, and to read him in comparison to other theorists’works. This paper will make a distinction between two different denotation of seduction. After that, it will be argued that seduction and irony share the same strategy of "appearing weak" and "turning self or others from its truth" and it will be clarified how seduction use its reversibility to fight against linear logic of production. Apart from that, an example that is extracted from Baudrillard’s early writings on collection would be analyzed in a new perspective of seduction logic. In its final chapter, this paper will illustrate the philosophical and political significance of Baudrillard’s seduction scheme in so far as seduction’s use of play of pure appearance could possibly realize redeeming and liberation from bondage and servitude. However, the critical and practical power of seduction is enfeebled by Baudrillard’s own logical operation.
