| Twentieth century was a period of rapid development of post-modern art. The post-modern art has a profound influence on the contemporary design in the form of shape, concept and aesthetics. In return, the contemporary design has varying degrees of absorption and extension from post-modern art in terms of way of creation, ideas, techniques and forms. Under this background, the link between art and design becomes ever closer. Installation art as a new art language, began to widely leak into different levels of design fields. The practices of installation art in the field of contemporary design, present us a new landscape of combing art with design.This thesis investigates the application of using installation art in display design, interior design, landscape design, product design, fashion design, urban design and other areas of public spaces, and the effects of the intervention generated by installation art, to analysis the function and its role to play in installation art ontology into contemporary design and social thoughts, in order to achieve a rational judgment and understanding of this intervention phenomenon. |
