Shanghai Writing In Original Fictions Writtened By Wang Anyi

Wang Anyi is a famous Chinese contemporary writer. She was born in Nanjing in1954, and now she’s living in Shanghai. As a prolific writer, Wang Anyi has been writing for38years since1976. Wang Anyi moved to Shanghai with her parents when she was only one year old. Shanghai is the place where Wang Anyi grows up in, and also, it is the most important background in her works. Since1990, with the development of modernization, more and more people pay attention to urban writing. As a writer who is famous for her Shanghai writing, Wang Anyi attached more attention and discussion. This article selects Wang Anyi’s Shanghai writing as the research subject, her emotional changes of Shanghai for clues, trying to explain Wang Anyi’s unique Shanghai awareness and the way it was built. So that we can have a deeper understanding of Wang Anyi’s stand of spirit and values.On the basis of previous studies, the article selects Wang Anyi’s several representative novels for the study, and it uses three chapters focuses on the works of Wang Anyi’s Shanghai writing. The introduction explains the purpose and the basic content of the article, as well as the current status of research paper. The first chapter focuses on the works before2000, contact Wang Anyi’s own background, elaborates the cultural barriers between Wang Anyi and Shanghai, and the efforts she did to break through them. The second chapter focuses on<Song of Everlasting Sorrow>,<Fu Ping>,<Heroes Every where>. In these works, Wang Anyi focuses on the immigrants of Shanghai, which shows her mental stance and humane care as an intellectual. The third chapter places Wang Anyi’s works in the background of Shanghai literature, analyses the unique part of her works, and discuss Wang Anyi’s Shanghai awareness and its positive impact on the Shanghai literature. The conclusion summarizes the foregoing, and reveals the meaning of Wang Anyi’s Shanghai writing in the moment.
