ZHOU Shoujuan is considered to be the representative of Mandarin Duck andButterfly. With the new literary era Mandarin Duck and Butterfly has been criticized,ZHOU Shoujuan’s work was also marked by psychological cater to readers, filled withvulgar imprint. The literary activities of ZHOU Shoujuan began after the establishmentof the Republic of China, His writing were published in the Saturday, Reporting Freedom, Fiction Times and other newspapers.
