Multi-angle Research Of "A Shang B Xia"

The structure "A Shang B Xia"is a common format in modern Chinese. It is highly used either in oral or written Chinese."Shang""Xia" are nouns of locality which are fixed parts in this structure.A、B are the open parts otherwise. In modern Chinese, the usage of this structure is flexible, and the productivity is relatively high. We specially analysis the syntactic, semantic and pragmatic features of the structure "A Shang B Xia". At the same time, we attempted to use the conceptual integration theory of cognitive linguistics to illustrate the degree of integration and cognitive principle. The full article is divided into the following five sections altogether:Chapter1:This chapter is an introduction. It introduces the significance of the topic; Reviews researches the former and present research situation and existing problems; Tells us the utilized theories and methods to solve the problems and corpus sources.Chapter2:This chapter painstakingly describe and analysis the composition of A、B; the speech of "Shang"、"Xia"and the features and syntactic function of the structure"A Shang B Xia" from the synchronic level.Chapter3:This chapter inspected the semantic features and pragmatic features of the structure. By analyzing the internal and external semantic features and relationships, we can summed up the semantic significance of the structure. Through example-inspecting, we can summarized the pragmatic features of the structure.Chapter4:This chapter examines the integration level of the structure. We devide the structure into four integrated levels based on the syntactic and semantic features. We can understand the relationship between each level is a continuum by anlysising the corpus. There is a fuzzy area between each level. We can strengthen the cognitive understanding of this structure.Chapter5:This chapter summarized the main content and inadequacies of the entire paper.
