"One X-Y" Format Study

"Yi X Yi Y"structure is a format which has concise form and rich meaning.It is a structure with special composition and expressive function,so it is widely used in both spoken and written language.First this paper will describe the format in synchronic level based on the"three-dimensional grammar".Second,we will make a static and dynamic analysis on cognitive and psychological process by using cognitive theory of categorization,lconicity,conceptual metaphor and conceptual integration.From the perspective of internal structure,the article firstly examines the speech of"X","Y"in the structure "Yi X Yi Y".Secondly,the article examines the order of "X::Y" in the structure of "Yi X Yi Y",and also answer the order problem of "X""Y".Finally,the article examines "Yi" of the structure "Yi X Yi Y".From the perspective of syntactic and pragmatic value,the article examines the syntactic featues and syntactic functions of the structure in the part of syntactic level.In the level of pragmatic value,firstly,from the feature of rhythms,the syllable of the structure is well-alignment and with vivid cadence,and we can also enjoy the music aesthetics of the structure.Secondly,from the perspective of expression characteristics,the pragmatic features of "Yi X Yi Y" is reflected in economy and productive,visualization and figurative,image and elegant.The features which meet people's requirements that language should be economy and practicable.Because of it's unique pragmatic value,it's widely using by people.From the perspective of cognitive semantic,we divided the semantic features of "Yi X Yi Y"in two categories:the semantic of combination and the semantic of rhetorical firstly,and then we'll analysis the cognitive restricted mechanism of "Yi X Yi Y" by using cognitive theory of categorization,lconicity,conceptual metaphor and conceptual integration.From the perspective of conceptual integration,the coagulation of "Yi X Yi Y"format is different.We attempt to divide the integration according to its overall semantic.At the same time,we'll sum up the features of syntactic and semantic in different levels of "Yi X Yi Y".To do this,we aim at strengthen people's understanding of the cognitive of "Yi X Yi Y"format.
