"Yuanhuai Epitaph" Artistic Features

Since the rise of tablet learning in the Qing Dynasty,the wei dynasty regular script stone carving in the Northern Dynasty has attracted the attention of the tablet school calligraphers and formed a wave of worship,Wei tablet and Tang Kai became the two major systems of learning and creation in the regular script category.However,with the increasing number of yuan epitaphs unearthed in the Northern Wei from the Qing Dynasty to modern times,combined with its unique aesthetic value and artistic tension,the Epitaphs of the Northern Wei dynasty(with Yuan epitaphs as the main body)have become the favorite subjects of scholars.Therefore,it is particularly important to interpret and study the modernity of Yuan's royal epitaph,the classic epitaph of Yuan's family in the Northern Wei Dynasty.Therefore,this paper selects the most representative epitaph of Yuan Huai in the Northern Wei Dynasty as the research object,places it in the historical context of kai style development,and tries to clarify its special historical status and artistic characteristics by combining its production method,aesthetic factors of calligraphy and its own artistic practice.Through the diachronal and synchronic discussion on The epitaph of Yuan Huai,the author tries to find new ideas and directions of regular script creation in the system of contemporary stele.
