With the increasing cooperation and exchanges between China and othercountries, worldwide "Chinese hot" has been happened, and "Teaching Chinese toSpeakers of Other Language" as a comprehensive discipline arises at the historicmoment in1980s. The domestic experts and scholars have developed studying fromtheory to in-depth teaching connotation and combined with the teaching practicegradually. Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Language has been developed byfocusing on the teaching method of research to the combination of theory and practice,and from the height of the subject pedagogy to construct the process of the subject. Inteaching activities, an important content which has been studied by experts andscholars is the teaching method. In the language teaching, the traditional3P teachingmethod has been widely used till now. However, task-based teaching, a new kind ofteaching theory received a warm discussion and research has the important influence inrecent years. It has already been used in English classes. The study of the task-basedteaching method is still in its infancy in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of OtherLanguage. Especially in the application of practical teaching activities is insufficiency.Therefore, doing a deep research of the task-based teaching method, applied to theprocess of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Language, according to the actualsituation of the teaching method of teaching in-depth discussion has importantimplications for Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Language research.In this paper, the literature review method, questionnaire method, interviewingmethod and so on has been used to explore and research the task-based teachingmethod used in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Language oral Chinese classes.Firstly it introduces the selected topic background and research significance,elaborated the emergence and development of task-based teaching method, theoreticalbasis and research status of task-based teaching method in Teaching Chinese toSpeakers of Other Language. Secondly, more introduces the definition of task, category,principle and operating mode, let the readers have a further understanding of specific“task”. The third part of this article is specific teaching implementation of task-based teaching method. After these ideas of this teaching method, according to itscharacteristics and principles, trying to design it to lesson plans and making the actualteaching practice. And then summarized and analysis whether the task-based teachingis better for the Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Language oral Chinese classesaccording to the feedback of teaching and teaching practices. Through task-basedteaching examples, find problems in using the task-based teaching method and try togive advice according to the results of the practice. Hoping this will be helpful in thestudy of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Language.
