Task-based Language Teaching is a new language teaching mode raised in western counties in 80's last century. The idea of this new methodology is "Learn by doing", which emphasized the students as the main body of teaching activity. In order to help the learners to learn their second language effectively and to improve the communicative competence, accomplish realization tasks is important. The oral class is an important class in Chinese teaching system, and to improve the student's communication skills and interpersonal skills are the objectives. Taking the task-based approach into oral Chinese teaching,can help improve the skills of expressing.This article attempts to do design by learning the knowledge of the Task-based mode and the re-thinks of the problems in teaching practice for the writer, and hopes to provide some reference cases in TCSL. Meanwhile, the paper is based on the book of Short-term Spoken Chinese(Threshold),taking the elementary oral TCSL as study objects.There are six parts for this paper, here are the main content of the following parts:The first chapter is an introduction. The introduction has three parts, which including the background and significance of this topic, the research status and research methods used in the paper.The second chapter shows the records of the class observation and the analysis of questionnaires from elementary oral TCSL class students. In this chapter,to find out the major problems for current elementary oral TCSL teaching and to analyze the reason are the purpose.The third chapter summarize the theoretical basis of task-based language teaching method from the point of TCSL teaching,including the definition of the task,type, the principles and the implementation process.The fourth chapter analyzes the applicability of the task-based approach.Through the investigation for the demands for the primary oral Chinese class students and the teaching tasks, discusses the applicability of the task-based teaching method in primary oral Chinese class. According to the analysis of the compiling, the subject distribution,the analysis of the practice design of the text book Short-term Spoken Chinese(Threshold),illustrate the applicability of the task-based teaching method to teaching material.Chapter V is the main content of this article. Depending on the topics and the communicative tasks from the teaching materials,and according to the reference for The Outline of Primary Communicative Tasks to do the overall design. Besides, on the basis of the theoretical knowledge, do specific task design.Chapter VI reflects the deficiencies and problems in this paper, and rethink the problems of the task-based teaching in elementary oral TCSL class.
