Butterfly Zheng-China Improved Zheng

Butterfly Zheng is one of the China improved Zheng.It was designed and created by the professor of Shanghai Music Conservatory,HE Baoquan,the notable Zheng artist,educationist and reformer.The butterfly Zheng is equipped with stagger pentatonic scales,retaining the scale arrangement of traditional pentatonic.lt not only reserves all of performance techniques of traditional Zheng,but could perform the heptatonic and twelve note compositions by new performing technique.The butterfly Zheng was evaluated by Science and Technology Department of Culture and rewarded as the second prize of culture and Technology Achievement of RPC(the first prize is vacancy)The essay includes preface,main body and epilogue.there are five chapters in main body.the first in troduces historical background of the butterfly Zheng,the second is about the modulation Zheng,the third presents the designation concept and characteristics,the fourth elaborates the development and innovations of butterfly Zheng.the fifth presents the playing skills and tracks of butterfly Zheng,Expectation and aspiration to the butterfly Zheng are included in the last chapter.
