Over the past decade, more and more students participate in after-school tutoring."Tutoring hot" phenomenon has caused the wide attention of the society. Academics have begun to appear some related researches in our country, these studies focus on education, sociology, but lack of research in psychology. Psychological analysis of the different main body participating after-school tutoring is scattered, analysis of their motivation is not a system. For these reasons, through a variety of methods of observation, interviews, etc., this study will be taken from the psychology point, based on consulting a large number of relevant literatures. The studies choose who participated in school counseling in Hohhot area as subject, including students, parents, and teachers. This study investigated and analysis the psychological motivation of the four main nuanced, drawing the following conclusions:First, after-school tutoring in different main body has different behavior, psychological motivations are quite different. In85interviewed and observation students,43.5%of them volunteered to participate in school counseling, but56.5%of them are not voluntary. In the voluntary participation students in remedial classes in school, only29.7percent of the students are the real heart of voluntary participation,70.3percent of the students volunteered to participate is only in the surface. Subject to parents, teacher authority, or following others is the main reason. These students not only learning initiative is poor, but also interest in learning. The students learning for the test or the pursuit of knowledge has higher learning initiative and enthusiasm and bigger interest in learning. Second, parents’sending their children to attend is due to the anxiety, compensation, and liability for expected psychological motivation. Given higher expectations of their child, they want their children learning better, but often ignore children’s psychological need. The lack of communication with the children, parent-child relationship is not harmonious. Parents depend on school remedial classes, virtually expanding tutoring agency services.Third, practitioners selected outside counseling agencies mainly for teachers’needs in material, achievement and self-actualization. But extensive source of guidance teachers, the quality is not guaranteed.Fourth, people who opened management counseling organization is mainly driven by interests and ideals, and the management of the remedial class is lack of scientific and systemic.Fifth, school remedial classes market is more confusing, scale and charges varies widely. Many school remedial classes are difficult to improve students’ academic achievement.This study about tutoring to outside the hot phenomenon tries to further development in terms of psychological theory, and enrich the research in this field. At the same time, put forward some targeted suggestions to students, parents, teachers, counselors’ institutions and education departments, in order to enable students to get a better education, promote the development of their physical and mental health overall.
