Acupuncture and moxibustion is one part of traditional medicine and it has beenpaid more attention in the field of medicine. But it is only widely used in Chineseterritory. If it wants to come to the international stage, interpreter’s assistance will benecessary. But English for acupuncture and moxibustion is still practicing discussingwhich could’t provide too much examples. In that case, it is the duty of the author to tryhis best in this simulating interpretation.The interpreting mission for this kind of subject matters with medical English,traditional Chinese medicine and tactics of interpretation. The author’s target is toanalyze the mission process and conclude experience and tactic during the simulatinginterpretation in order to provide advice and make improvement for further practice.The subject of this article is the interpretation for the introduction of acupunctureand moxibustion’s knowledge. Simulating interpretation is the way to conduct thepractice and the video record will be the material for case study.The way of practice for simulating interpretation is consecutive interpretation. Thecontent is collected from temporary acupuncture and moxibustion’s work and wasdesigned and modified into a simulating lecture. The content of the simulating speechincludes: the history of acupuncture and moxibustion, meridian, acupuncture andmoxibustion which turn this speech into a comprehensive introduction of acupunctureand moxibustion. The author inquire possible predictable contents like terms in order toavoid difficulties in interpretation. For unpredictable elements, they require the author tofind out in the simulating process of interpretation.The first part of the article is the introduction which will give the studyingbackground and the studying purpose and design of the article. The second part ismission process, it contains preparation for interpreting and the mission process which isthe written record of the interpretation. The third part is case study. This part is mainlyanalyzes the tactics and foundings in the mission process which would be useful forpractice. The fourth part, also the last part is giving a summary to the whole article. Itfirst tells the importance of preparation and then tells the difficulties and deficiency.
