Traditional Chinese medicine is the treasure of Chinese culture,serving people for generations.In the rapid development of globalization of the 21 st century,China promotes the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine.In this progress,traditional Chinese medicine not only needs exquisite leech craft,therapy keeping pace with the times,but also needs the effort of medical interpreters.Medical interpreter of traditional Chinese medicine is not merely a “megaphone”,more than a propagandist.In our country,the development of medical interpreting is insufficient,the industry regulation,standards of interpreter and national legislation is deficient.The writer did a traditional Chinese medicine interpreter during this period and got some inspiration about this profession.In the preparation period of this subject,I've consulted a number of books about the subject in the library and found German functionalist translation approach can provide some guidance for medical interpretation of traditional Chinese medicine.This theory is relatively mature,and has a certain position in the development of translation theories,thorough researches were carried out by many experts both at home and abroad.Many main ideas and principles of this theory coincide with medical interpretation of traditional Chinese medicine.Through research,I found that there are many main points of view that fit well with the medical interpretation ofTCM.There is a typical guiding significance for TCM medical interpretation.The writer mainly studied the functionalist theory in the application of medical interpretation of traditional Chinese medicine.The paper carries on the instance analysis to the interpreting problem of the employment of skopos theory and function plus loyalty principle.The application of these strategies can improve the service quality for doctors and patients and harmonize the doctor-patient relationship.Hope this article can provides a new perspective of interpretation of traditional Chinese medicine for medical research,make a reference for the work of the translator and do a little contribution for the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine.
